Khichdi is a dish that's eaten in India as a light meal. Its kind of Ayurvedic superfood where carbs, proteins is mixed in equal proportion and cooked, and a spoonful of ghee at the end adds necessary amount of fats. Khichdi is given when someone is sick or has been advised to eat simple food or when you just feel like it. It can be made more exciting by adding veggies or enjoyed with side of yogurt.

COOKING METHOD -
Follow these easy steps -
- Wash the lentil & rice mix and strain, keep aside. This step is important for clearer flavour and to remove any impurities from lentil & rice.
- In a pot heat some oil, then add the entire pack of spice mix, stir for 5 - 10 sec.

Add the washed lentil & rice mix and 5.5 cups of water & stir well. Cook until Khichdi is soft and creamy, usually takes about 30 min. Add teaspoon of ghee at the end.
