We made this blend to recreate a simple Dal recipe we eat in North India on a daily basis. Indian cooking at home is usually very simple with perfect balance of proteins, carbohydrates, & fats. One refrains from using rich oil or flavours at home & so with this blend we have tried to bring you one step closer to true home cooking. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of this blend, it’s simple yet delicious. Heat level is very low.
Ingredients - Australian Yellow Split Peas, Australian grown Mung Dal, Coriander, Cumin, Turmeric, Kashmiri Chilli, Coriander leaves.
COOKING METHOD -
Simply fry some onions and garlic, add this blend and 6 cups of water. Cook until Dal is soft and creamy. Garnish with chopped coriander or parsley leaves.
