This Dal is a blend of red lentils with south Indian flavours. Red lentils are very easy to cook and are packed with protein, iron and fibers essential for your body. The southern Indian flavours like coconut, Jaggery, curry leaves, comes together deliciously and will create a highly satisfying meal for your family. Serve it with some plain rice or coconut rice. 

Ingredients - Australian grown Red Lentils, Toasted Coconut flakes, Salt, Mustard seeds, Jaggery, Amchoor (Mango powder), Curry leaves, Turmeric Powder, Spices

Cooking Method -

Finely chop some red onions, garlic and ginger. In a pot, add oil and fry the onions, garlic and ginger on a medium heat. You can slit a chilli and add that too for some heat. Add the Spiced Kerala Dal in the pot and mix it well, add water or stock around 4 cups, cover with lid and walk away. Once the red lentils are cooked, add some chopped coriander, lemon juice to finish it off. Serve with rice.
